Be prepare for a very long wait, especially you are in a big group. Worth the wait if you are into tofu with mince meat stuffed.

They have a pork katsu wrapped in tofu and it was an amazing combination. I had just come from my fuji after trying food there and this was much better than the food around fuji.

Fancy, simple, but long wait (40-60 minutes) although the reviews say otherwise. The food and service is good, but the cuisine isn't the best. I'm not a fan of the fried food here in Japan everyday, with little to no veggies, and egg being unavoidable. The tofu, while fried, was very good. Just think Japan could expand their horizons and maybe do something involving veggies or chicken for once.

Lovely food! The delicious fried tofu is a must try here! If you are visiting the Hakone area or nearby Gora station, you should definitely try this restaurant!

Amazing food, great service... Don't miss this place if you are in hakone. If you visit the air museum head over when you're done... 15 min walk ... There may be a line but it's worth the wait !!! The set menu tofu was epic!!! And I am a hardcore carnivore. Get the katsu pork as a side order

Nice ambience of Japanese restaurant. It mainly serves toufu type cuisine. The taufu katsu is their special and recommended menu. Have to be early to queue for number otherwise have to queue for hour. It can be better with the side dish with the amount of pjce

Great restaurant in near Gora station in Hakone. Known best for their tofu dishes but also serve great cutlets.Line sometimes can be long, 30 mins to 1 hour wait is normal.However the food is worth the wait and the place itself is so serene and quite.

Have to wait a bit, go earlier, but totally worthy if you love any forms of Katsu-style food. They are famous by the tofu katsu, it is thick tofu with a layer of pork mince in between, and cooked in the style of katsu. The rice is middle firm, perfect for katsu. There are two styles in the old building. They also have normal katsu menu if you sign up in the new building (they just next door).

Food was great, interesting dish. Recommend that anyone interested in eating here get a queue ticket earlier, cause the place was packed when we got there. Had to wait about an hour. Last order is about 730pm to 745pm. We went on a Sunday.

The house speciality deep-fried tofu and egg dish may be the best Japanese vegetarian dish I've ever eaten. Service was swift and staff were lovely. Will go again.

Very good tonkatsu and kind of broiled tofu. On lunch there’s some wait so please arrive early. Nice staff and service. We ordered pork and shrimp tonkatsu, very tasty.

We came here for dinner and I had the special dish which was the tofu. Overall very good food.

Their tofu meat katsu was something special that we tried to get and missed 2 days in a row. Worth trying but I wouldn't go twice as it wasn't my type of taste. Staffs are friendly and courteous despite the big crowd.

Amazing food at fair prices. There is a ticket machine outside to help manage the queue but it's definitely worth the wait. Will come back if we stop by Gora again.

Are you vegetarian? While they do have tofu katsu options, they come with minced pork sandwiched between two slices of tofu. While it is tasty, it is certainly not a vegetarian meal (You can order cold tofu as a side dish, though). The place is clean, beautiful, and the staff is really sweet. If you order a full set, you’re going to get a lot of food for about 2,000 yen. Do come prepared to wait a bit, though!

Best Katsu tofu!!! If you love katsu and fluffy egg omelette in broth, this is is the place to go. There’s always a long queue, so be sure to get your queue number early.

Special fried tofu steak with mince pork. The rice here is great! And we love the atmosphere. Have to wait during lunch and dinner time. One of our favorite place in Hakone.

The meal was very good. It will be perfect if the line up ticket machine has multi language version

The breaded pork and the fried tofu was absolutely amazing. One of the best meal on our Japanese trip. We had to wait 30 minutes for our table big it was worthy.

The tofu was soft but the eggs were more dominant, for 1330 yen better take the pork cutlet

For being a meat-lover myself, I didn't expect to have enjoyed their tofu-katsu this much. It was worth the 50 minute wait and it turned out to be one of the most memorable restaurants I have been to in Japan. I don't like to hype up restaurants as it may lower one's experience, but I personally think this place will be on par with the hype if not better. Go for their tofu-katsu set and you will not be disappointed.

Nice traditional theme interior, a fancy restaurant with all above ¥1,300 for set menu. Ordered pork cutlet with shrimp tempura. The pork is juicy and the shrimp is fresh sweet. A really nice fine dining Japanese style

Amazing on the palette. Combination of crispy shell and soft tofu simmering in a clean broth leaves you wanting more.

Delicious food and I totally recommend the local beer they serve. Go there half hour before opening if you want to avoid to wait in line. 😉

Amazing food and atmosphere! We ordered the speciality Tofu Katsuni Gozen, but be careful if you are vegetarian as there is some meat inside. Dessert platter was also interesting, including a Matcha Tofu sweet.

Food was good and fast, especially dessert. Tofu katsu is sweet, be careful if you don't like sweet savoury food. Dessert is one of the best I've ever had. Service is a problem. Waited for nearly 1h, no one even come outside to greet anyone or show menu to people. But the lady with grey hair was so nice and friendly, guess they might need some improvement on management to make staff easier.

Horse meat sashimi was a bit weird but the tofu set meal was absolutely stunning.

Love the Japanese architecture. Love the tofu love all the food. Maybe we were really cold and hungry. We literally waited an hour in the rain for our seats, but I guess we walked out happy.

두부까쓰 진짜 최고ㅠㅠ We had to wait for 30 minutes and could have a table before break time! So lucky to try Tofu katsu. Definately the best menu i tried on Japan trip ever.

This place was one of the highlights of my Japan trip. The tonkatsu tofu stuffed with pork was amazing! My friend and I got th fixed menu and all the sides were delicious! We waited over and hour to eat and it was truly one of my favorite meals! Soo good! Highly reccomend if you are in Hakone

Best tofu I've ever had. Queue system for getting a table was difficult to figure out if you don't speak Japanese but the staff was very friendly.

Super delicious and worth waiting for long time.

I am SO glad we found this place. Come a little earlier than opening time, we got there like 4 minutes before it opens and there was already a line, we ended up waiting for almost an hour. But the neighborhood was nice and quiet so it was great, close to the station so you won't feel lost. Food was quick to come, and it tasted SO good.

Mainly Japanese clients but tasty food for all!
